COMMUNICATION AND INTERACTION
This course will provide key information and resources to support your practice when working with children who have difficulty with communication and interaction. This course begins with an outline of what will be covered and key terminology, and then consists of the following modules:

- Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)
- SLCN associated with learning difficulties
- Autism

1. Speech, language and communication needs (SLCN)
Module one provides an introduction to speech, language and communication needs, and includes identification and support strategies for children with SLCN from early years through to secondary school.

Module two of this course on Communication and Interaction covers Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), providing information on what DLD is, how to identify it and how to offer a tiered approach to supporting children with DLD in your setting.

Module three of this Communication and Interaction course focuses on SLCN support strategies for children with learning difficulties, covering both general best practice and more specific strategies for children with MLD, SLD, PMLD and SpLD.
