Hi All, I hope you are well. My name is Kiranjit Kaur. I am a secondary school English teacher, who has been teaching for the last five years. Currently, I am designing a Bridging curriculum within English for SEND pupils (an adaptive curriculum that is tailored for pupils that have reading ages of 6 -9 years, so that they can access the same diet as their peers in Year 7, through bespoke teaching) and would like to request some support about how this can be enhanced further and discuss developmental ideas.  Hopefully, this will allow me to work towards exploring mainstream SEN, supporting the progress of traditional set three and four pupils that will allow them to achieve a Level 4 at GCSE English. Locating a SEND and English or any other teaching and learning networking contact has been a challenge as it is an under-developed field. However, the Pastoral element of SEND seems to be flourishing and there is a significant amount of research available, but it is limited when it comes to integrating the academic aspect to SEND.
