Virtual Assistant and MSc Children's Rights student, Freelance

About Kate Ferguson

I am a part-time virtual assistant and a student at Queen's University Belfast (studying MSc Children's Rights and commuting back and forth from the North East of England).  Prior to discovering higher education late in life I worked in law, the charitable sector and then found my feet in education.  I created and ran an organisation providing extra curricular activities to primary aged children in the school holidays.  We catered for all children in mainstream schools in our geographical area which resulted in a steep personal learning curve and employment of specialist staff to assist neurodivergent children attending to ensure their experience was as enjoyable as possible.  This amplified my fierce passion for the rights of all children and am looking forward to being amongst a like-minded community here, learning from you and contributing where I can.
