I have worked in Early Years since 2006. I have managed a pre-school setting and in June 2022 joined my local authority in supporting childcare provision across the city. I am driven by being able to make a difference, however small, to practitioner's knowledge and commitment which will enable them to provide families with the support they need at a crucial time in their children's education. I believe that every child deserves the very best care and education to pave the way for success throughout their life, regardless of what that may look like.  I have 4 grown up children and 3 have additional needs which have impacted on their day to day living. We have experienced a broken secondary education system and battled with accessing the support that young adults need when their journey takes a different and unexpected path. Despite these experiences being traumatic for the whole family I have learnt a lot which has added to my passion to make a difference for societies youngest children in the hope that both themselves and their families have the tools they need from the start.
