🙌 Supporting Neurodivergent Lives Through Understanding, Environment, and Design
Hello everyone 👋
I’m Debra, and I’m really pleased to be part of this community.
I’m neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD, OCD) and a Chartered Psychologist and Chartered Scientist, with a long career in psychology, systems change, and design. Just as importantly, I’m also a parent to neurodivergent adult children, so my work is shaped as much by lived experience as it is by professional training.
I’m the founder of Diverse Nation, where we create across-the-spectrum neuroinclusive, sensory-considered short-stay accommodation for both holiday and business travellers. Our spaces are scientifically designed to reduce sensory overload, support emotional regulation, and feel genuinely safe and restorative. The aim is simple: people shouldn’t have to recover from where they’ve stayed.
Alongside this, I spend a lot of time working with landlords, employers and organisations to help them better understand neurodivergence in practical, real-world terms, not just as a diagnosis, but as a human experience that needs thoughtful environments, systems, and support.
I’m really looking forward to connecting, learning from others here, and contributing where I can. Please feel free to say hello or reach out if something I’ve shared resonates.
Lovely to meet you all 😊
