What information/support would help you with including learners who have Down syndrome in your classroom/education setting?
As part of my role with the Down’s Syndrome Association, I am developing a three month information campaign, which will include a range of materials and events being produced. I have generated a list of possible topics to cover, but thought it might be better to ask here first before I finalise them, to ensure that the focus of the information campaign is useful to those on the ground in education settings.

Managing the impact of hypotonia within every day. How to recognise that someone is struggling to manage and the impact would be really helpful. This was something I had to explain to staff when we had a child with Down's as it was not understood fully.
How to manage hypermobility, particularly in PE Lessons. I have a chapter on this in my upcoming book 'Inclusive PE for SEND Children'. I'm an OT and happy to chat more.
Hi Sharon..I work for an Outreach service providing support to mainstream schools: we have many queries re maths and Reading programmes from teachers. Am sure the information campaign and materials will be very helpful.
