SEND & Inclusion Conference
The SEND & Inclusion conference is aimed at staff who are responsible for, or involved in, supporting pupils in these vital aspects of education delivery in mainstream primary and secondary schools.
The SEND & Inclusion conference will take place on Friday 24th November, at the Hallam Conference Centre, London, and is aimed at all staff who are responsible for, or involved in, supporting pupils in these vital aspects of education delivery in mainstream primary and secondary schools.
Keynote presentations will be given by Matt Bromley, Education Author and Advisor, Bromley Education, and Pooky Knightsmith, a renowned speaker on SEND, who will be accompanied by her daughter, Lyra Hesmondhalgh, offering insights into teaching girls with autism.
A further 12 practical workshops will be led by professionals sharing their expertise in a wide range of topics, addressing some of the challenges facing schools today.
Sessions on inclusion will cover themes such as safeguarding, transitioning to next school phase, race and LBGBTQ+. Meanwhile, SEND workshops will include areas such as building a special needs department from scratch, distinguishing SEND from EAL, and sharing the responsibility for SEND provision across the whole school.
All workshops will offer advice, insights, information and practical examples of good practice, which can be adapted and implemented into your school’s particular circumstances.
