COGNITION AND LEARNING

This course looks at supporting children and young people with long-term cognition and learning difficulties, covering moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). It also looks at specific learning difficulties and support with EHCPs.  The modules in this course are:  Introduction to cognition and learning needs Adaptive teaching to support children with moderate learning difficulties (MLD)  Supporting children and young people with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) All information in this course has been reviewed by @Kate Browning and @Dr sarah Moseley. 3. Supporting children and young people with SLD and PMLD

This module looks at best practice to support children and young people with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties. It also covers EHCPs and provides top tips for SENCOs when working with LAs and supporting parents carers.

This module covers learning difficulties which impact one specific area of learning, in particular looking at needs in line with dyslexia and dyscalculia.
