Behaviour and self-esteem of children and young people with ADHD in mainstream settings

The session will focus upon the mental health and well-being of children and young people with ADHD and how this can impact upon their behaviour and self-esteem and will include evidence-based strategies to support this through all stages of the education system.

Learning outcomes:

  • How ADHD can impact upon mental health and well-being
  • The impact of low self-esteem on self-regulation and coping strategies
  • Building an ADHD Friendly classroom and school
  • Strategies to support children and young people with ADHD in school
