SEN Young Carers

Hello, I have recently joined a charity called MYTIME Young Carers, I have been taken on due to my background as a SEN teacher. Research in our local area shows that 18% of children are young carers, but 28% of children with SEN are young carers, both of which are shocking statistics.  I have my own ideas and thoughts into why this could be but wondered if anyone had any thoughts they could share to help my research further?  Thank you, Lia
