Introducing myself and Show Me CIC
Hi, I am parent to a 19 year young man with a complex learning disability. I have been a governor at his special school (The Bridge School, Islington) for 14 years and am on the board of the Autism Education Trust. I am a technologist, and over those years, I have been frustrated by the limited coordination in the use of touchscreen technology in special education, due to the many challenges involved, and also by the lack of genuine quantitative data on progress within complex learning settings. So much so that I set up a non-profit during lockdown called Show Me CIC to improve outcomes for young people with complex learning disabilities by delivering a neuro-scientific approach to the use of touchscreen technology into SEND education.
