TG Escapes Modular Eco-Buildings
TG Escapes modular timber frame buildings are sensitive to the environment and net-zero in operation saving money in the long term. They connect the inside to out providing high levels of natural light and easy access to the outdoors, and are self-contained including treatment, sensory and breakout rooms. Modular offsite manufacturing keeps costs low and timescales short.
Using modern methods of construction, traditional materials and sophisticated technology, they create standalone spaces for SEND and SEMH. The innovative bespoke architect designed system provides biophilic buildings to suit most locations and uses, in a variety of finishes including timber, composite cladding or render in a range of colours. Offsite construction minimises disruption, cost and risk and we offer a complete design and build service in house.
The buildings are aesthetically pleasing, ergonomic and highly practical, designed for an A+ energy rating and to last 50 years or more with appropriate maintenance.
Their pre-designed DfE compliant Inclusive Learning Hubs, provide a swift solution to the growing demand for SEND and SEMH provision in mainstream and specialist settings. The biophilic buildings, organised around a central area, offer therapy spaces and classrooms designed to provide young people a choice of areas, inside and outside, where they can retreat to support their learning and sensory comfort.
The Speech & Language Link online tools and training enable schools to identify and support pupils with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). UK schools ran 245,000 of our SLCN assessments last year and implemented our interventions with 65,000 pupils, because fundamental life skills and chances are built on speech and language.
Literacy, social relationships, behaviour and mental health all have speech and language foundations, so our award-winning packages are created and supported by our specialist team of speech and language therapists. All our standardised assessments, evidence-based interventions and staff training are therapist designed, to ensure that no student falls under the radar.
We work with individual establishments, MATs, LAs, Integrated Care Partnerships, NHS services and other specialist teams to support the deployment of our tools and services into schools.

Founded in 2021 by our CEO and experienced SEND service leader, Philip Stock, Invision360 has a rather personal backstory.
After spending most of his career working within local authority SEND Services as a Principal Educational Psychologist and Head of SEND and Inclusion services, Philip had first-hand experience of the challenges existing within SEND quality assurance. Knowing that technology could be the answer, Philip stepped out of local authority SEND leadership to start creating the Invision360 modules.

In the UK today, it's estimated that 20% of the UK's population has a disability, somewhere in the region of 14 million people. With a system that's often difficult to navigate, societal barriers, a lack of services, and challenges with the accessibility of the built environment, the end-user is often left unable to participate in daily life as they should.
It's for this reason that BATA is passionate about ensuring that disabled adults and children as well as older people get access to the AT and accompanying services that they have a right to, so that they can remain as independent as possible.
We do that through (more below):
Advocacy
Empowering and Strengthening
Challenging Stigma
Research and Partnerships
Creating Community
BATA is here to advocate and raise awareness on issues surrounding AT to governments, businesses and communities. We aim to capacity build and strengthen our sector and industry, challenge stigma, create a vibrant community and network that supports our mission, and finally, push for better information and evidence through collaborations, partnerships and research. We aim to respond to the UKs current context and remain flexible to support our members in a variety of ways as changes happen. BATA aims to become the one-stop-shop for advice and information on AT for end-users and businesses, and we regularly share referrals to our membership as they arrive. Our current members are suppliers, assistive technology (AT) professionals, universities, organisations who provide support to people who need AT solutions as well as charities.
*Please note that BATA cannot endorse any particular technology and does its utmost to remain impartial. BATA shares experiences and information but no opinion on which technology/software is most appropriate. BATA is not an assessor*

The importance of effective special educational needs provision
We know that pupils with special educational needs and disabilities have some of the largest attainment gaps. At age five, children receiving special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) support are already one year behind their peers (EPI, 2023).
This growing need for specialist provision mean that leaders of SEND play a vital role in the success of schools. By championing inclusivity and implementing quality SEND provision in schools, leaders can ensure all pupils have equal opportunity to access education, ultimately improving pupil outcomes.
In recognition of the need to develop expertise around SEND provision, the government has introduced the NPQ for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators professional development programme.
