At Enhance EHC, we believe in the importance of supporting not only the educational development of children and young people but also their emotional well-being. As part of our ongoing commitment to making a positive impact within the SEND sector, we are thrilled to announce that our supported charity of 2025 is Place2Be, a leading UK charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of children and young people.

About Place2Be: Supporting Mental Health in Schools

Place2Be focuses on early intervention to prevent life-long mental health issues, by helping schools to understand and identify mental health problems and offering counselling services, support for parents and teachers, and a range of resources that help children build resilience, confidence and emotional stability. Place2Be’s mission is to ensure that no child and young person has to face mental health problems alone.

How Place2Be Aligns with Our Work

At Enhance EHC, we are deeply committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND. Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) is the third most common type of need for children and young people with an EHCP or on SEN Support. In addition, those with other identified special educational needs are at a higher risk of developing mental health problems, and conversely, poor mental health can exacerbate existing difficulties.

Place2Be’s work complements our mission by providing the vital support children and young people need to overcome emotional barriers, build their confidence, and fully engage with their educational opportunities. We are excited to partner with a charity that shares our values and strives to improve the lives of children by addressing their mental health needs, something that is especially important for those within the SEND community.

Welcoming Place2Be to Our April Team Meetup

As part of our partnership, we are thrilled to be welcoming a representative from Place2Be to our monthly team meetup in April. This will be an excellent opportunity for our team to learn more about the incredible work Place2Be does, the impact they have on children’s lives, and the role that we can play in supporting their efforts. We are looking forward to hearing first-hand how we can make a tangible difference, both within our own work and in the wider community, through our support on behalf of Place2Be.

Our Commitment: Initial Donation and Future Support

We are proud to announce that Enhance EHC has made an initial donation to Place2Be as part of our ongoing support. But this is just the beginning! We believe in the power of community, and we are committed to doing more. We will be raising awareness of Place2Be’s vital work and organising a fundraising event later in the year to further support the charity’s mission.

Through this partnership, we hope to inspire others to get involved, increase recognition of Place2Be’s work, and contribute to supporting the mental well-being of children across the UK. Together, we can help create a brighter future for all children, particularly those facing additional challenges in their education and mental health journey.

Stay tuned for more updates on our partnership, upcoming fundraising events, and how you can get involved in supporting this important cause – but meanwhile, click here to take a look at Place2Be’s website and consider making a donation to help a vulnerable child access mental health support.
