Keynote address: What's next for SEND?
Amanda Allard delivers this keynote address on day one of the Tes SEND Show 2024, looking at what's next for the future of SEND. The address is followed by a panel discussion with Annamarie Hassall, Amanda Hind and John Camp.
This session focuses on the current direction of SEND policy and what have we learnt one year on from the start of the SEND and AP Change Programme pilots. But it also focuses on what further change might be needed if we are to have a system which genuinely meets need at the earliest point of presentation.
Amanda Allard is Director of the Council for Disabled Children. Annamarie Hassall, Chief Executive of nasen, Amanda Hind, Autism & SEND Consultancy, and John Camp OBE, The Compass Partnership of Schools join the discussion.
