This is Jaya’s story. From missing three years of school due to social anxiety and academic pressures, to studying A levels and preparing for university.  Jaya studied English Language, English Literature, Maths, Combined Science and PSHE for Year 11, gaining top GCSE results including a grade 9.

In this inspiring episode Amy Husband and English teacher, Shameema Fernandes chat to Jaya about her experience of studying with Academy21, how it has impacted her academic career, what she is currently studying and her plans for the future.  We hear that in just one year, she regained confidence, gained independence and discovered a love of literature.
