Many children find it difficult to read different emotions and many social cues can be tricky to understand. That’s where EmoGami can help.

The new game helps children learn these skills through puzzles that gradually increase in difficulty, to allow each child to play at their own pace, and progress from basic emotions to more challenging ones.

EmoGami is a ready-made teachers’ resource that not only helps children recognise emotions but also measures their progress along the way. No planning involved and no searching for a way to evidence progress. Through a built-in dashboard, teachers and parents can keep track of their children’s progress and provide personalised support to each child individually. It is ideal for supporting the EYFS Personal, Social and Emotional Development as well as for children’s personalised targets on their Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Provision Maps, where they need that extra bit of support in recognising emotions in self and others.

Children are motivated to play and learn by collecting reward coins as they match facial expressions to emotions. They also have the opportunity to express their creativity and control their own gaming experience, through building their own diverse characters and choosing between different themes for the game, offering a truly immersive and personalised experience. They also get to read social cues in displayed situations and choose matching emotions.

We have developed EmoGami with social communication experts alongside rich advice from game experts in Ubisoft and DICE to ensure that the game is educational, fun and engaging without being over stimulating. EmoGami is autism and colour blind friendly, ensuring inclusivity for as many children as possible.

EmoGami is available on PC platforms for schools and as an app to download on children’s mobile devices or tablets. Printed supporting materials are also available for teachers and parents in the form of Activity Sheets that children can use at school or at home.
